Alyss is momentarily distracted when he pulls away, a smile tugging harder at her mouth one that completely disappears upon the sight of the dried blood on his shirt and his angry scars.

She swallows her tears down, very visibly, as a hand reaches out to touch one. Another one for her to hate, yet love in her own odd way. Alyss isn't quite sure how she'll feel about this one when it is all said an done. But she thinks that despite it equalling forver for her, she will hate it more that the rest. Because it also equals his death and represents the fact that their daughter is now without both parents.
